a personal note
I came to textiles from the outside — not from a family mill, not from a fashion house, but from a stubborn belief that an industry this old deserves someone willing to ask better questions of it.
Fanaar is that belief turned into a company. It is young and deliberately small, and I would rather it grow slowly and mean something than grow quickly and mean very little.

Concept
Fanaar is a fabric house for the hours nobody is watching. Lounge and loungewear cloth, traced to origin, tested by batch and finished in small runs — sold on measurements rather than adjectives.
what that means in practice
Six constructions — twill, jersey, piqué, French terry, fleece and interlock — from 140 to 400 GSM. Every batch is weighed, washed, pulled and tested before it earns the name, and what the people wearing it say decides the next run.
